“The mainly teenage crowd whooped with delight as the hip hop group came on stage.

Tulisa, Dappy and Fazer had come straight from Glastonbury earlier in the day to rock the crowd at the harbour.

They sang a number of their hits including Playing with Fire and Say It’s Over.

They also did some covers including a version of The Script’s song Man Who Can’t Be Moved. They also did a mash-up of Jay Sean’s Down Down Down and Black Eyed Peas’s Meet Me Half Way.

The crowd, most of whom had queued up for three hours, lapped up the one-hour set.

The energetic performance was met with approval from fans as they jumped up and down singing along and echoing Dappy’s catchphrase – Na na naiiiii!

Tulisa and Fazer even joked on stage and were breathless during their hit Ouch as they stopped to have a pillow fight.

They sang non-stop – apart from three breaks for costume changes.

Tulisa glammed up in a frilly white and blue dress, a red and black dress and gold corset and hotpants.

Dappy and Fazer donned their trademark hats and tracksuits. Dappy even dressed his up with flashing red lights along his arms.

They dedicated their latest hit We Dance On to Kieran Goulding and Chloe Walker, victims of the A66 Keswick bus crash.

The group also dedicated their song Papa Can you Hear Me to the families of the Cumbrian shooting victims and to Kieron and Chloe, thoughtfully changing the words to “Cumbria can you hear me?”

Fazer added that the song had been a memoir to Dappy’s father and Tulisa’s uncle who died a few years ago, but was relevant to anyone who had lost someone, especially those in the tragedies.”

“N-DUBZ are gutted that they won’t be able to stay and party after their headline set at Glastonbury this evening.
The troublesome trio top the bill at the East Dance stage tonight but are leaving straight after their performance for another gig in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

A source said: “They want to stay and party with their mates for a big night but they have to leave immediately to be fresh for the next day.”

However, the band have organised an early arrival so they can watch both KELIS and TINIE TEMPAH’s sets.

If you’d dropped in unannounced on Being N-Dubz (C4), you’d have sworn it was some kind of lame, MTV-style spoof. Was that Kevin Bishop givin’ it the innits in a skew-whiff baseball cap? That’s got to be Alesha Dixon playing a Dollis Hill ghetto princess, surely?

Unbelievably, no. Being N-Dubz was way funnier than any spoof because it was real. Well, as real as any show could hope to be that features cartoon characters called Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer scampering from book launches – ‘every signin’ we start pennin’ each other!’ – to recording studios while rabbiting on about ‘this is where the dreams happened’.

I’ll be honest, N-Dubz’s music does not hit my spot but then I’m way off the target market. Theirs is a supermarket own-brand version of Black Eyed Peas, efficiently wrapping rap and r’n’b clichés around some catchy pop hooks and speaking straight to the heart of the Primark kids who burst into tears when they meet them. In an age where success is counted in YouTube hits, N-Dubz – 20million and counting – are right up there. No wonder the quick-buck brigade have circled round them, knocking out books and reality TV shows before the bubble bursts.

There was a kind of homespun charm to Dappy and Fazer’s efforts to come off as swaggering street-tough geezers. But where American rap feuds end in a hail of bullets, a squabble between N-Dubz and rival Lethal Bizzle over who wrote a track was played out amid the gritty, grimy scenario of the Celebrity Soccer Six. Keep it real, guys – and watch out for that manager in the fancy limo and shiny white suit.”

“N-Dubz stars Tulisa and Fazer are reportedly having a secret romance.

The pair, who dated when they were teenagers, rekindled their relationship on tour but wanted to keep it a secret, according to reports.

A source told the News Of The World: “Tulisa and Fazer both confided separately to a number of people that something romantic had developed between them again.

“Tulisa said they had been seeing each other and sleeping together on and off since they were in their teens but things had become more intense on tour.

“She was petrified about Fazer’s girlfriend finding out because she knew how much trouble that would cause.

“Fazer told me he was thinking about ending it to try and start something with Tulisa. They both told me they loved each other but said it was so complicated they didn’t know if it could ever work out because the fans wouldn’t like it.”
