Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos have bonded

‘We 100 per cent have a genuine friendship,’ Louis tells Now’s Dan Wootton.

‘She’s rough around the edges but that’s what I like about her. You go into her dressing room and they’re smoking and drinking.

‘She can be a bit of a loose cannon, but she cares. I love her honesty. What you see is what you get.

‘I know more about Tulisa than I do anyone on the programme.’

Louis believes Tulisa, 23, is a born star.

‘I think she has the potential to be absolutely enormous,’ he says.

‘But sometimes she thinks she knows it all when she doesn’t.

‘She talks about the N-Dubz like they’re The Beatles but I didn’t know who they were before the show.

‘I didn’t know who she was either!

‘Not everyone loves the N-Dubz - they’re not the Black Eyed Peas.

‘But I love her. And it’s not a put-on thing for the cameras.

‘I just can’t do fake any more.’

Labrinth has said he wants to collaborate with Tulisa Contostavlos.

The ‘Earthquake’ rapper told Capital FM he was hoping to work with The X Factor judge and N-Dubz star on her debut solo album.

“It’s to be confirmed. It might happen,” he said.

“We did have talks about walking on her record, and I would love to work with her so it might just happen anyway.”

A collaboration won’t be the first time the pair have worked together – they both appeared on the 2011 Children In Need charity single, ‘Teardrop’.

Meanwhile, Labrinth is set to release hisdebut album ‘Electric Earth’ in March 2012.

The album will feature his Tinie Tempah-featuring collaboration ‘Earthquake’ and ‘Let The Sunshine’.

A host of other artists have been linked to the album, although none of the names have yet to be confirmed.

Tulisa has been seen in a series of outfits that compliment her mature attitude and, cementing a reputation as a classy 20-something fashionista. Her transition from wearing tracksuits and blonde dyed hair to embracing black dresses and designer gowns puts the singer on a new platform of sophistication.

Mark Wright has always showcased a good eye for fashionable menswear, as he has been snapped throughout 2011 donning the slickest of suits on and off The Only Way Is Essex. His knack for finding a tailored jacket and designer waistcoats,and his ability to look mature amongst the wackiness of TOWIE gives him a great appeal.

Rihanna has shocked many conservative folks this year with her unorthodox outfits and flesh-revealing attitude. But although her videos and stage performances may have included raunchy costumes, Ri Ri’s wardrobe for 2011 has been an array of designer names. The star was continuously snapped wearing get-ups designed by Balenciaga, Alexander Wang, Gucci and Herve Leger.

Cheryl Cole is another female celebrity of 2011 who has been keeping her eye close to what’s trendy in the world of fashion, having been caught wearing some of the best fits by top designers. Paparazzi-shot pictures of Cheryl out-and-about wearing Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Givenchy – all complementing her frame very well.

Winner: Rihanna. A very close call as none of these celebs have bad fashion sense, but Rihanna’s sex appeal and magnetism have had top designers eager for the star to wear their items.

Most shocking headline of 2011

Tulisa caused a stir as soon as she stepped on to the X Factor judging panel this year. Many people felt she didn’t have the right to be in the judging seat with a lacking of industry experience, but it was her comment about contestant Misha B being a ‘bully’ that caused a ruckus. The former N-Dubz singer said Misha B had been bullying other contestants, leaving Misha upset that the remark could have been the reason she was sent home.

Mark followed in the footsteps of TOWIE’s Amy Childs after he declared he would be leaving the show for good after the third series had finished recording. The ITV2 programme’s fans and its cast were mortified at Wright’s out-of-the-blue decision, but the club promoter swore it was for the best. His exit has left TOWIE in a state of uncertainty for 2012.

Rihanna hit the headlines in June when her video Man Down was released depicting scenes of domestic violence. It sees Rihanna’s character pulling a trigger to solve the problem. It was Man Down that had researchers in the field of domestic violence condemning the images shown within the video, especially for younger fans of her music.

Cheryl’s sacking from the US X Factor was a shocking moment, especially as the decision to let the 28-year-old go was so spontaneous. There were rumours that her Geordie accent was too thick for the American contestants and judges to understand, however a ‘lack of chemistry’ between the judges was cited as the reason for the singer’s exit.

Winner: Mark Wright. TOWIE has become one of the most talked about television shows in showbiz. For its cast to lose another member rocks the boat for 2012 more than ITV would like.

Prospects for 2012

Tulisa has achieved a fair bit of success so far at the age of 23. She has achieved platinum selling status with N-Dubz and launched a new fragrance The Female Boss alongside her time on the X Factor. Her anti-bullying stance and self-confidence have seen Tulisa become an undeniable role model for young girls across the country.

Mark has just started his venture into celebrity stardom and is now set to make some waves in 2012, albeit small ones. With his success on I’m A Celebrity …Get Me Out Of Here, Mark plans to make a step into having his own TV show and begin his journey to Hollywood.

Rihanna will have a splendid entry into the new year, as her album Talk That Talk will no doubt continue to pull-off record sales beyond January. Pair that with her role in the sci-fi release Battleships, her tour and confirmed performances for the 2012 Wireless festival and The Brits, Rihanna will be comfortably seeing her fame and work maintain a steady route.

Cheryl may have been somewhat quiet during 2011, but her focus for 2012 will be her new solo album, set for release within the first six months of the new year. Justin Bieber has also been reported as eager to record with Cheryl. Her friendship with Simon Cowell may be rocky but for 2012, Chez will be on the right track again thanks to musical guide Will.i.am.

Winner: Rihanna. Fans are still screaming out her name at shows and tweeting her every second, music moguls continue to keep them high on their list of importance and the television stations love her.

Overall Winner: Rihanna. It seems like the 23-year-old is on a never-ending high, as her career continues to stand firm amongst the hustle and bustle of the entertainment industry…expect big things from Ri Ri in 2012.

Tulisa has just agreed to release her first autobiography.

The popular N-Dubz star is putting pen to paper in January, ensuring the book’s release coincides with the start of the next series of the hit ITV1 show.

And with three publishers currently bidding for her signature, Sexy T – as she’s known to boyfriend, Fazer – is on course to net a tidy £1.2million. Not bad for a few months’ work for the Camden-born singer.

Says a literary mole: “Tulisa may only be 23 but she’s had an amazingly eventful life.

“She has an incredible story to tell – some of which has never been written about – and it’s a unique opportunity to set the record straight.

“Tulisa’s famed for being open and up front, saying it as she sees it. There will be no skeletons left in her closet. Three major publishing houses are all desperate to sign her up, not least because the success rate of books by former X Factor judges has been fantastic. Dannii Minogue’s autobiography was a No1 best-seller whilst Cheryl Cole’s two last year were also top five smashes.

“In her book, Tulisa will discuss Fazer for the first time and reveal some fantastically juicy behind-the-scenes X Factor gossip. Her enemies should definitely be bracing themselves.”

The outspoken star, currently celebrating her act Little Mix’s victory on the show, will detail previous well-documented celebrity spats, including her backstage fights with rival X Factor judge Kelly Rowland, plus her working relationship with stars including Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and her X Factor pal Louis Walsh.

She will also address her upbringing and recount mistakes she made – including shoplifting forays and experiments with drugs – in an open and frank way.

Tulisa has agreed for photos from her childhood, plus never-before-seen backstage pics, to be released.
